So far, in October the temperatures have been pretty close to a typical October…with the average high temp only 0.2° above normal and the average low temp 0.2° below normal.  It has been drier than average, however.

We are anticipating a slight chance of rain this weekend as a weak system moves at us from the west.  There won’t be a lot of moisture for this disturbance to work with, so we’re not expecting widespread rain or anything that heavy.  By the middle of next week, a strong cold front will plow through North Texas.  Our computer guidance is still trying to work out the exact timing of this front’s arrival.  At this point, it does look like a chilly Halloween in North Texas next Thursday.  We could have a few showers and temperatures in the 50s all day!  This is an early forecast that could change a bit as we get closer.  Stay tuned!
