DALLAS, Texas (105.3 THE FAN) – Coming off an embarrassing season opening loss against the 49ers, the Cowboys are preparing to hit the road for the next two games and owner Jerry Jones main concern is if his team is able to recover and make the necessary changes to compete with the Titans.

“The biggest concern I have is if we are going to be able to correct the things that set us back – we’ve been working on them” said Jones on his 105.3 The Fan show.

“It’s what we are taking to Nashville –  not we run into in Nashville” said Jones referring to the unprepared Week 1 defense.

When asked if quarterback Tony Romo was mentally prepared following his disappointing performance against San Francisco that included 3 INTs in the first half, Jones praised Romo’s ‘quarterback temperament,’ and the ability to shake-it-off and move on.  “He is as good as I’ve ever been around at not carrying the mistake with him” said Jones.

With the Cowboys defense lacking in depth and experience Jones is hopeful that Garrett’s focus and a few player changes will help turn things around.

When asked how he expect the Cowboys to keep the Titans offense off the field (and scoring), “Turnovers” said Jones. “Obviously it’s quite a challenge for our defense, we have the philosophical approach of ‘bend – don’t break,’ but we’ve got to get turnovers and we’ve got to hold the ball.”
