COLLEYVILLE (KRLD NewsRadio 1080) – Police received a 911 call shortly before noon Tuesday and are now investigating a murder in Colleyville.

Officials are saying the homicide happened at a home in the 500 block Frontier Court and the FBI and Texas Rangers are involved in the investigation.

According to police the homeowners discovered the woman’s body shortly after 11:00 am. Police say she worked for the homeowners – who were not home at the time the murder occurred.

“When we arrived we found a deceased female inside the residence. There were signs of obvious trauma, but at this time we do not know the cause of death. We are treating this as a homicide,” said Colleyville Police Chief Mike Holder in an afternoon press conference.

This is the first homicide in at least 20 years according to Holder.

“We would never expect this on our street,” said an unidentified neighbor.

Police have no suspects at this time.
