Now through November 2, you can experience an even scarier side of Six Flags Over Texas – with Fright Fest. This thing has five bone-chilling haunted houses, including the all new Zombie Infestation. For the kiddos, there are  costume contests, scary-oke, and a trick or treat trail featuring Bugs Bunny and all of his friends in Bugs Bunny Boomtown. For the big kids, there is Cirkus Berzerkus, Cadaver Hall Asylum, Piggy’s Blood Shed, Total Darkness, Zombie Infestation, Texas Scare-a-tory, Voodoo Swamp and The Lost Hollows.

It happens every year. A sea of red and orange descends upon the metroplex. Prepare yourself for Texas/OU Weekend this weekend (10/11) at Fair Park.

Swan Song, the longest-running Led Zeppelin tribute band in the south, is ringing in Texas-OU weekend tomorrow night (10/10) at the Granada along with Black Crowes tribute Cursed Diamond.

Cody Canada…you know him from the red dirt band Cross Canadian Ragweed…check him out with his current band “The Departed” at the  State Fair Of Texas this Saturday(10/11).

Get some sweet pooch smooches and help needy dogs find forever homes at the State Fair of Texas. The Kissing and Hugging Booth at the D.R. Horton Bark at the Park is open and DFW Rescue Me will be at the State Fair of Texas for the entire run. To find the booth if you are facing the Main Stage, turn left and walk towards the Centennial Building. They are the last booth on the left!

Tonight’s (10/9) Cool Thursdays at the Dallas Arboretum features Brave Combo. The weekly costume contest for awesome prizes is the Best Combo of Polka ‘Dots’ Award. Wear your most extreme polka dots!

The Boneyard Haunted House in Arlington says this year’s haunted house is even bigger with more fear and terror. They open for business tomorrow night…as we get closer to Halloween, they will open on nights other than the weekend.

Now through November 1, head over to Elm Street to the Slaughter House for 16,000 square feet of pure terror. Come on. The thing is on Elm Street. That in and of itself makes it worth the trip.

The Denton Haunted House also known as The Parker House Haunted Attraction is open this weekend through November 1 for your scaring pleasure. The story goes that this 1940’s home based mortuary was closed down by the FBI due to the Parker’s daughter Mary who created her own bodies for the morgue.

Heat of the Moment, Only Time Will Tell, Don’t Cry…all awesome tunes and you will hear them performed by one of the biggest bands of your high school years. Check out ASIA at the Granada this Saturday night (10/11).

See Ringo Star and his All Star Band at the Verizon this Saturday (10/11).

The North Texas Bicycle Rally is happening this Saturday (10/11) at the Byron Nelson High School in Trophy Club. All proceeds will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Here is another twisted twist on the whole haunted house thing. Strangling Brothers Haunted Circus promises to freak you out with its terrifying Semi-Trailers of Terror. Each of the twenty-nine custom designed tractor-trailers has a different scary scenario.

The 18th annual After Dark in the Park is set for tomorrow October 10 at the River Legacy Living Science Center in Arlington. This family-fun fall festival features children’s games, crafts and activities; as well as a pumpkin patch, karaoke, face painting, professional storytelling, bounce houses, and food.

He had to reschedule the show due to health issues…but this Monday (10/13) the wait will be over. See the legendary Paul McCartney at the AAC. This will be his first visit to Dallas since he played a sold out show at Cowboys Stadium in 2009.

Screams Halloween Theme Park unveils the terror of the big top at the all new CarnEvil Clown Maze and the Castle of Darkness.  Check it out every Friday and Saturday night in October through Halloween Night, Friday October 31.

Dark Hour Haunted House 2014 is full of witches. The Plano haunted house will feature witches from every country, each infamous throughout the world for the horrors they reap. Check it out this weekend.
