ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) – In one photo after another some parents said three Lamar High School cheerleaders in Arlington are showing their spirit for anything but the team. The photos show the three cheerleaders doing what appears to be illegal drugs, drinking and posing inappropriately, according to parents.

“I was disgusted!” said one mother (who doesn’t want her identity released). “I was humiliated.”

The mom, said her daughter is on the cheer squad at Lamar High, but she says she’s not in ‘those’ (see below) photos.

“It’s very – very sad and no one does anything about it,” said the mother, who feels that Arlington ISD has let her down.

The photos made the rounds online via social media at the start of school this year.

“I think they should permanently be kicked off the cheer squad,” said the mom. “I don’t think they should be allowed to be cheering again. It’s a bad example for all our children.”

Arlington ISD said the students involved were disciplined, but wouldn’t tell CBS 11 News how.

“We take any matter seriously and we want to make sure that we are following our policies and guidelines and that is what was done in this situation,” says Leslie Johnston with Arlington ISD.

Parents said they demand more because they say it makes the entire school look bad. CBS 11 News tried to reach the cheerleaders involved but have not gotten any responses.

Upset parents are trying to figure out what else they can do to get the girls off the squad.
