19-year-old John Lee says he was frightened when a man entered his bedroom Friday night and pointed a gun at his head. But Lee says he is relieved he and his family were not hurt.
Lee spoke exclusively to CBS 11 News tonight.
Lee and his parents and younger, teenage brother were home. Coppell Police believe Lee and his family were the first victims in a string of home invasions since Friday.
There have been five break-ins in three North Texas cities; Coppell, Allen and Flower Mound.
Lee says Friday night he was working on his computer in his bedroom upstairs when a masked man approached him from behind, pointed a gun and told him to be quiet. The intruder forced him to go downstairs.
Lee says at least two gunmen were in the home and they demanded to know where all of the valuables were located.
A number of bedrooms were ransacked after all four family members were bound at their feet and hands with duct tape. Lee says they were all forced to lay on the hardwood floors face down. He says when the gunmen left they ordered the victims to not move for 15 minutes. When they were unable to remove the duct tape, the family called police.
The thieves got away with thousands of dollars in cash. Mrs. Lee told CBS 11 News she had over $2000.00 in cash in her purse because she had not yet deposited the money in the bank from the family business.
Numerous pieces of electronics were also stolen and the family says nearly all of those items were recovered by police after the arrests.
According to Carrollton police, officers spotted a stolen vehicle in Lewisville after last night’s home invasion in Flower Mound.
When police tried to make a traffic stop the suspects fled into Carrollton. Carrollton Police arrested two of the suspects. A third suspect got away.
A fourth suspect was arrested by Flower Mound Police and she has been identified as 19-year-old Johnisha Ann-Marie Williams.
The two men in custody in Carrollton are 34-year-old Juan Fernando Olaya and 19-year-old Rodney Ray.
Police say fourth suspect in this string of home invasions and burglaries is still at large.
