IRVING (CBSDFW.COM) – She walked out of a Dallas bar and woke up in a box at the Irving landfill. Wednesday night police were still trying to piece together what happened in the hours in between.

The woman was found lying just outside the front entrance of the Irving landfill, inside a cardboard box and only partially clothed.

The woman, whose name has not been released, was alive, but has no memory of what happened after leaving the nightclub.

A missing persons report had been filed.

According to the police report, the missing woman was highly intoxicated and stumbling across the parking lot of a West Dallas bar and club early Saturday morning.

The woman’s friend left to get their car while a man unknown to either of them agreed to stay with the woman. When the friend pulled up to pick up her friend — she was gone.

Dallas police were called, but the woman was found in Irving half-naked and stuffed in the cardboard box. She was taken a hospital for a rape exam and police are studying security cameras outside the club where she was last seen.

Police say the woman didn’t have any noticeable injuries and the rape exam was inconclusive.

At this point, police can’t even say for sure that a crime was committed.
