FRISCO (CBSDFW.COM) — The Texas Legends have acquired former Mavs guard Delonte West, who is expected to suit up Thursday night in Frisco.

The 8-year NBA veteran spent last season with the Chinese CBA team Fujian, where he averaged 22.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2.4 steals.

West, 31, was selected 24th overall by the Boston Celtics in the 2004 NBA Draft. He’s averaged 9.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.1 steals over his career.

He last played in the NBA with Dallas during the 2011-12 season. That season, he appeared in 44 games (33 starts) and average 9.6 points and 3.2 assists in 24.1 minutes.

The guard will wear No. 31 as the Legends host the Delaware 87ers on Thursday.
