“We work hard. We order what we want and what we need, but we pay for it,” said Mansfield resident Mollie Adams. She caught a thief on-camera stealing a package off her porch.
“You don’t even know what they are. You don’t know they’d be of value to you,” said Adams about the crook’s motive. “I feel violated. I do. I feel violated in that they went through our stuff. They dug through our things.”
Adams took to Facebook to warn others, and quickly found other victims of similar thefts.
“It’s gone on several times in our neighborhood,” according to another Mansfield resident, Pat Crow. She and several other women said they came home to find packages stolen right off their front steps.READ MORE: 2-Year-Old Fort Worth Girl Dies After Drowning In Her Family's Backyard Swimming Pool
Crow said she feels homes in the upscale neighborhoods are targeted since they aren’t gated.
“They need to spend more time getting a job or try to figure out something else other than taking people’s things,” said Crow.
Both Crow and Adams want the thieves who are responsible to know that their community is aware and on alert
“We’re watching. Yeah and the community is not going to put up with this,” said Adams.
Mansfield police said it’s possible the crimes are related. They’re currently investigating each of the thefts.MORE NEWS: Lawyer For 1 Of 3 Texas Women Charged In Carmine's Brawl Says They Were Racially Discriminated Against
