DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — How did Dirk Nowitzki go from second league German basketball to NBA MVP? A new documentary, “Nowitzki: The Perfect Shot,” will give fans unprecedented access and insight into Dirk’s journey.

The movie, produced by Magnolia Pictures, will be released on July 10 at select theaters and on demand.

Legendary players Kobe Bryant, Yao Ming, Steve Nash and Jason Kidd are among a host of players that contributed to the project. Mark Cuban, David Stern and others also chimed in.

“NOWITZKI: THE PERFECT SHOT is ultimately a film about friendship, what it really takes to fulfill your dreams and the indestructible desire to win.”

Tickets are available for purchase online. The movie will be shown locally at the Magnolia Theatre, as well as two Studio Movie Grill locations.
