FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – A 25-year-old man was arrested for aggravated kidnapping after he forced a teenager into his car last month.

The 15-year-old girl told police that she was walking near Wichita Street when Ramiro Almendarez pulled up to her and offered her a ride, which she accepted.

Almendarez took her to his house and prevented her from leaving. He held the teen at his house by threats of violence and a handgun. Almendarez also made the victim change her appearance so that she would look older.

The teenager escaped, eventually making her way to Fort Worth Fire Station 22 where she called her parents and police were notified.

Detectives executed a search warrant on Almendarez’s house and he was arrested.

The case will be presented to the District Attorney’s office for prosecution.
