Residents in the Hillcrest Apartments say they’ve been suffering in the heat since July 4th. The A/C is out in half the complex and frustration is rising along with indoor temperatures.

Kim Sims says she and her daughter spend more time outside than in.

Hillcrest is home to many elderly and disabled residents who say they’re having a rough time without A/C.

Residents say problems like this happen every year but it’s getting to the point where they’d consider moving.

Sims says the complex is not offering any deals on rent or reimbursing those who have been forced to buy cooling units.

Managers at the Hillcrest complex says they are working to fix the units and hope it’s handled by the end of this week.
