AZLE (CBS DFW) – Dave Munson and his wife Suzette are the owners of the wildly successful Saddleback Leather Company. They’re moving their business to Fort Worth from San Antonio, and their ditching their house for tents in Azle.

Dave Munson said the family got the idea during a safari vacation in Africa.

Munson added, “We said ‘Oh my gosh, that would be so cool to have one of those.'”

His wife Suzette assured the tent living situation would be a modern set up saying “We’re not talking primitive here. We still have flushing toilets and hot water and all that.”

In total, 3 tents have been set up including a guest quarters, kitchen, and office space.

Dave says it’s all about enjoying life’s adventures with his entire family including young son and daughter.

He said, “If you want to do something different with your family, something different in life. Just do it.”

The Munson’s new tent house will be completed with electric connections and running water sometime in August.

They say, like many other people, they too are curious how long this experience will last.
