LOS ANGELES (CBSDFW) – Professional wrestling legend “Rowdy” Roddy Piper has died at the age of 61 according to reports.

According to media outlet TMZ, Piper (real name Roderick George Toombs) died from cardiac arrest at a home in Hollywood at around noon Friday.

In 2006 Piper was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, but last November he said he had beaten the disease.

Roddy was admitted into the WWE Hall of Fame back in 2005 and was one of the top 50 villains in the history of the WWE.

He is survived by his wife and their 4 kids.
