DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Dallas Police are now looking at a second woman in connection with the murder of Uptown dentist Kendra Hatcher.

Newly obtained documents show police recently searched the apartment of the ex-girlfriend of the man Hatcher was dating at the time she was found shot dead.

Police have not made any additional arrests or brought charges against the ex-girlfriend, but looked for any evidence inside her apartment in connection to the death of Hatcher.

The apartment is less than two miles away from the parking garage at the Gables Apartments where Hatcher was shot and killed last Wednesday, September 2.

Crystal Cortes is in custody right now.  Investigators said she is seen driving a jeep supposedly as the getaway driver.

According to the documents, Cortes said she, “…conspired with witness … to drive an unknown male subject to … commit the offense of robbery against Kendra Hatcher.” After the exchange of Hatcher’s license, Cortes stated she would receive $500.

The search warrant also indicates that Cortes said the ex-girlfriend, “…possessed a black i-phone that was used to track the location of the complainant’s cell phone…”

Documents also reveal that Cortes told police that the ex-girlfriend had “…ended a two-year relationship with (Hatcher’s) current boyfriend earlier this year.”

Hatcher’s family did not want to comment regarding the developments.
