This Sunday, September 13, the 2015 Climb for a Calling Fort Worth First Responders Stair Climb is happening at Burnett Plaza. Climb for a Calling is a tribute stair-climb honoring the sacrifices of fallen heroes. The climb involves the 110 and 80th floors…remembering the tragedy of the attack on the United States of America that took place on September 11. The World Trade Towers were 110 stories tall. For those who feel that 110 is too difficult, they are also offering an 80 story climb.

This guy is world famous but many do not know that he owns and lives on a working ranch in California and was one of the co-owners of Little Yellow Jacket…the PBR’s only animal to earn three World Champion Bull titles. Many also are unaware of the fact that he wrote “We Built This City” for Starship and “These Dreams” for Heart. And it isn’t widely known that he is an artist…but now, you can see his artwork in the exhibit Anarchaeology at Samuel Lynne Galleries Saturday September 12 – October 23, 2015. The opening reception is Saturday September 12 and the artist, who wrote the majority of the lyrics for Sir Elton John’s songs, will be there to meet you. Of course, I am talking about the one and only Mr. Bernie Taupin.
