TROPHY CLUB (CBS11) – Federal agents with Homeland Security Investigations raided a Trophy Club home Tuesday morning and arrested a man inside as part of a child exploitation investigation.
A family friend identified the suspect as 28 year old Jayce Craft.
Craft was staying with his parents.
The couple run the Abundant Grace Montessori School in Southlake, which caters to children ages 3 to 9.
Law enforcement have not confirmed whether it is involved.
Several neighbors told CBS11 they have called police before on the suspect and his brother for speeding through neighborhood streets.
A background check shows Craft has been previously charged with possession of marijuana, evading arrest, DWI and making a false report.
A family friend confirmed he has a history of drug abuse, but said he has never been linked to anything like child exploitation.
She said the family is upset and hopeful this is a misunderstanding.
“They were told the charges. Something to do with his phone. Whatever happens, I don’t’ know, but as you guys know technology today, anybody can mess with your phone.
Anyone can have the wrong kind of friends around him. It’s just not like him. Not at all,” said Jasmine Paul.
Trophy Club police and Homeland Security investigators have shared very little about the case.
The family declined to interview.
