MANSFIELD (CBSDFW.COM) — James Coble Middle School will be closed Monday due to electrical issues.

There will be no classes for students and staff and no before- or after-school activities on Monday. According to Mansfield Independent School District, a transformer and electrical wiring to the school were destroyed when a transformer near the building caught fire on Saturday. As a result, the school has no power.

Maintenance workers, Oncor and electrician crews are working to replace the damaged wiring and transformer. There was no damage to the school itself.

Only Coble Middle School is closed, the district said. All other MISD campuses will be open as normal.
