One of the biggest record stores you’ll find exists right along LBJ in North Dallas.

Josey Records was celebrating its one year anniversary with a huge sale when I visited recently and the name of the game is great vinyl old and new and live entertainment.

Warrick Cameron and Luke Sardello had a vision to create a record store that, in a lot of ways, would take people back to the 70s and 80s. Both say vinyl was in their blood.

It’s tough as an LP collector myself to describe just how big the place is and the size of the inventory…they also buy from large collections, and the docks in the back are still used for the semi trailers of records they pick up in other states.

Bottom line, Josey records provides something that in the digital age people, even young people, judging by the packed parking lot on a sunday afternoon, are thirsty for.
