DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – The following closures are needed for beam setting associated with the DNT Improvement Projects according to an NTTA news release:
9 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19
· Two northbound left lanes of Dallas Parkway (DNT frontage road) from Windhaven Parkway to Spring Creek Parkway closed.
· All lanes of the Thoroughfare B U-turn, south of Spring Creek Parkway, at Dallas Parkway closed.
North- to southbound traffic detour: Motorists will continue on northbound Dallas Parkway and take a left to Spring Creek Parkway. Motorists will then take another left onto southbound Dallas Parkway and continue to their destination.
South-to northbound traffic detour: Motorists will continue on southbound Dallas Parkway and take a left to Windhaven Parkway. Motorists will then take another left onto northbound Dallas Parkway and continue to their destination.
Construction work includes adding an additional travel lane in each direction of the DNT from the Sam Rayburn Tollway to the President George Bush Turnpike.
Changeable message signs will be placed prior to lane closures in the construction area. When needed, law enforcement officers also will be on duty to assist motorists.
All closures are subject to weather conditions and will be postponed, if necessary.
