LAS VEGAS (CBSDFW.COM/AP) – Police have identified the woman who plowed through pedestrians on a sidewalk on the Las Vegas Strip last night as Lakeisha Holloway, 24.

Close to 40 people were hurt, one was killed.

Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said Holloway was driving from Portland, Oregon to Dallas. Her 3-year-old daughter was in the car but wasn’t injured. He said that after striking more than two dozen people, and killing one of them, Holloway drove to a hotel and told a valet to call 911. Investigators believe she had a falling out with the father of her child before the crash.

Lombardo said it’s believed the father of the toddler that was in the car with Holloway is in Dallas.

Holloway, who didn’t have alcohol in her system at the time of the incident faces a charge of murder with a deadly weapon.
