DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – The family of Joseph Hutcheson, 48, who died after he was restrained by sheriff’s deputies in the Dallas County jail lobby, held a news conference Tuesday demanding answers from officials.
Hutcheson’s widow, Nicol demanded the names of the deputies involved in her husband’s death last August.
She said she and the public deserve to know which deputies were restraining her husband when he died.
“We were promised a response to the family’s request for names but have yet to receive one,” said the family’s spiritual advisor, Jeff Hood.
The Dallas county sheriff’s department has not released the names of those involved. It has however turned over its investigation to the Dallas DA’s office.
