DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – The train apparently didn’t arrive soon enough for a pair of suspects in an armed robbery.

Minutes after the crime, Dallas Police say they arrested the pair at a DART station.

Police say around 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dewayne Taylor, 35 and Delores Wilks, 19, allegedly robbed a man who was sitting on a bench at 700 Wood Street.

Police say Taylor pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded money. The victim surrendered his cash and Taylor passed it to Wilks and the pair took off.

Responding officers arrived within three minutes and broadcasted both suspect descriptions over the police radio. Other officers located both suspects at a nearby DART station.

Police say Taylor had the handgun and the victim’s stolen cash.

Taylor and Wilks are in the Dallas County Jail charged with Aggravated Robbery, a first degree felony.
