DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – With Valentine’s Day around the corner, one North Texan is likely without a wedding band.

Molly McKinnon is a tattoo artist at Elm Street Tattoo in Deep Ellum who made a surprise discovery when she went to grab some coffee from a store nearby.

“I saw it in between where the street met the curb. There was a familiar shape. So to confirm what I thought it was I picked it up, and of course it had an inscription inside so it was clearly a wedding band.”

She said the man’s wedding band looks expensive.

“I think it goes without saying wedding bands have a value to them but it probably has far more sentimental value to it.”

McKinnon posted a blog in the Deep Ellum Community Watch  on Facebook, but so far no one has responded. She said she simply wants to return the ring to its rightful owner.

She said you can contact Elm Street Tattoo and ask for Molly McKinnon if you have any information about the ring.
