IRVING (CBSDFW.COM) — Irving police said fire department officials found the body of a 20-year-old woman, who was reported as not coming home Saturday night, in a canal Sunday morning.

Police said the report came in around 7:30 a.m. Sunday. Officers began the search around the woman’s apartment complex in the 150 block of Cowboys Parkway; she was last seen sitting by the canal behind the apartments.

The Irving Fire Department joined to search the canal area, according to police. They found her body around 9:40 a.m.

Police said there are no signs of foul play at this time, but the investigation is ongoing. Her identity has not yet been released.
