FORT WORTH (CBSDFW) – Maryland based Lockheed Martin says they are seeking to part with up to 1,000 workers.

The aeronautics company says they are trying to stay competitive and keep its staff aligned with orders.

Lockheed Martin is offering a voluntary program to mid-level employees in seven locations, including Fort Worth.

There are currently no details at this time what the voluntary program would involve.

Lockheed Martin currently employs roughly 126,000 workers around the world.
