FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – One of the last people to see Nika and Michela Kholodenko alive is their babysitter, Lyudmila Madmusaev, according to Sofya Tsygankova’s arrest affidavit.

The Kholodenko sisters, daughters of famed pianist Vadym Kholodenko were found dead inside their Benbrook home last week.

Their mother, Sofya Tsygankova is charged with their murder to which she pleaded not guilty on Wednesday.

Madmusaev sobbed as she recalled the girls she cared for.

She described them by saying, “They were angels. Very talented angels.”

Madmusaev went on to say the younger of the sisters Michela would call her “Babushka,” a Russian nickname for grandmother.

“I don’t know why Sofya would do this to them,” says Madmusaev.  “I miss them. This is so heartbreaking.”
