However, when the woman’s gun ran out of bullets, she said the uninjured burglar attacked her.
“He must of heard me clicking it because that’s when he came back and beat me up really bad,” said the woman, who asked CBS11 not to use her name out of fear for her safety.
The woman said she suffered a concussion and her face was covered with cuts and bruises.
Knowing one of the suspects was shot and likely needed medical attention, investigators were able to quickly track the two suspects down at the Texas Regional Medical Center at Sunnyvale.

Investigators found the second suspect, Pedro Guzman, 21, sitting in his car across the street from the hospital at a gas station.
Terrell Police Captain A.D. Sansom said investigators also found a stolen purse connected to a different burglary inside a trash can at the gas station.
“We do believe they may be responsible for other offenses in our city,” said Sansom.
Both suspects were charged with Burglary of Habitation, Intend other Felony Theft or Assault, Theft of Firearm, and Burglary of Vehicle; according to Terrell police.
The victim said she is installing a security system at her home and will be buying another gun.
“I hope other women will take note,” she said. “I am glad I was able to defend myself.”MORE NEWS: Heated Debate Over Whether Or Not Most People Need A COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Shot
