In 1997 the State of Texas designated Ennis as the Official Texas Bluebonnet Trail and folks come from all over to see them.
“Bluebonnet season in Ennis is huge! The wildflowers bring people from all over the United States even internationally” said Tourism Director for the Ennis Convention and Visitors Bureau, Gina Rokas.
You can download a map of the Bluebonnet Trail or drop by the Convention and Visitor Bureau for the daily updates.
“The Ennis Garden Club actually goes out and drives the trails so that we know where to send the visitors. We have over forty to sixty miles of trails, but where they bloom will differ every year” Gina added.
