PLANO (CBSDFW.COM) – The recent hail storm has done a number on North Texas vehicles and rental cars are in high demand.

Rental car centers all over the metroplex say they have been bombarded with demands for vehicles but don’t have cars to rent.

Rosie Descourouez is an assistant manager at Enterprise Rent A Car and says no one is able to make a reservation or even rent a vehicle out until after April.

hail-car“It’s insane! We are sending cars out to Plano and Frisco, any place where the hail storms have happened. We are also getting cars back with hail damage, which is another dispute,” says Descourouez.

She says they are having to get cars shipped in from other states, but still are having to shut down customers who had reservations weeks ago. “I wish there was something else we could do. It’s very frustrating because we completely understand. Bottom line — we can’t build and manufacture cars ourselves.”

Budget Car Rental says there are no cars available in their stores within 100 miles of Wylie.
