FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – A nearly 100-year-old home in the historic Fort Worth neighborhood of Ryan Place is receiving a major makeover. The buzz surrounding the project has also caught the attention of a national cable network that will be publicly named soon.
“We are in the process of filming eight episodes, which will hopefully air this summer or maybe in the fall,” said Brent Hull of Hull Historical. “This house was so original that it was a good opportunity for us to come in and re-tell the story.”
The home, which boasts three bedrooms and 3,500 square feet of space, is right off the intersection of Jessamine and Willing Ave.
“You’re going to walk in and see great molding, great hardware on the doors and a beautiful kitchen,” said Hull about his hopes for the end result once the project is finished in late June.
Hull expects the house will sell for anywhere between $800,000 and $900,000 once it’s completed. He said the price of the home will more than likely break even with the cost of restoration.
When asked about why there is so much excitement to turn something old into something new again, Hull responded, “It comes down to the fact these houses are just so adorable. They are so naturally attractive. You drive down the street and it’s just charming.”
