FLOWER MOUND (CBSDFW.COM) – A pair of Marcus High School football players were injured Thursday afternoon and rushed to area hospitals.

One went by ambulance to Medical Center of Lewisville.  One by air to Baylor Grapevine.

A Lewisville ISD spokesperson tells CBS11 both boys were alert and moving when they were taken to the hospitals.

In a statement released Thursday night, the district said:

As a precautionary measure, both students were transported to the hospital to be thoroughly examined. One was transported by CareFlight and the other by ambulance. One is home and one is waiting to hear final test results. We are receiving reports that both of our students are well.
