DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -The Dallas County D.A.’s office says District Attorney Susan Hawk has voluntarily sought treatment at the Menninger Clinic in Houston.

She received treatment there last year as well.

The Dallas County D.A.’s office said early Friday, Hawk is currently seeking new treatment for her mental health issues.

The statement released Friday evening says, “This office is extremely proud of her courage and ability to be proactive with her mental health plan. Judge Hawk is committed to early intervention and is taking the necessary steps so that she can continue to successfully serve the community. The Dallas County District Attorney’s Office will continue to operate with a commitment to justice and public safety.”

It was in August of 2015 when Hawk announced she would take four weeks of unpaid leave to “to work through a serious episode of depression.”

At the time, Hawk’s political advisor, Mari Woodlief, said that the DA was taking much-needed time off after working long hours and most weekends since she entered office.

Hawk ended up extended that leave through October 2.
