JOHNSON COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) – An Alvarado ISD school bus crashed with an 18-wheeler around 4:20 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 67 near CR 2738.

Seven students, the bus driver and the 18-wheeler driver all suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

All but the bus driver went to area hospitals via ambulance and CareFlite.  The bus driver refused treatment.

The helicopter was called in because of a lack of ground ambulances, not necessarily because of the severity of the injuries.
