DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Federal Bureau of Investigation divers took to the waters of Turtle Creek near Turtle Creek Blvd. and Fitzhugh Avenue to search for evidence in an ongoing investigation this afternoon.

While officials wouldn’t say what they were looking for, many residents were more than a little curious to find out.

“I was thinking I’ll eventually see it on Forensic Files and know what happened. It’s crazy. Nothing happens here,” one woman said.

The FBI divers were submerged in the murky waters for several hours before calling it a day. They assured everyone they were not looking for human remains and residents have nothing to fear.

“Lets be honest this is Highland Park. Things like this don’t go on down here,” said and onlooker. “And if you were going to dump something, this lake would be the place to do it. I wouldn’t get in that water.”
