This week’s Concerts by the Lake features Journey Tribute Escape Thursday May 9 at the Harbor Amphitheater.

Cool Thursdays at the Dallas Arboretum is a Paul McCartney Tribute. (May 9). The Great Contributors exhibit, on display until November 27, is a part of Gary Lee Price’s renowned art collection. The life-size bronze sculptures placed throughout the spring garden include Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Claude Monet, Albert Einstein, William Shakespeare, Mark Twain and the Wright Brothers, many of which are on benches or in garden settings.

Dirk Nowitzki’s 2016 Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game is Friday June 10 at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. Each year, Dallas Mavericks Dirk Nowitzki and more than a dozen other athletes and celebrities compete. The event benefits the charities of the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation and the Heroes Foundation.

Irving Canal Fest is Saturday May 11 at Mandalay Canal in Las Colinas. The festival includes a local art exhibit, cultural dance displays, live music, a food court, and much more.

Untapped Festival is in Fort Worth this weekend at Panther Island Pavilion (May 11). We are talking 8 bands, over 80 breweries and over 300 beers.

You can donate blood at the Carter Donation Bus in the parking lot or you can join the NRA there are the event.
