FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – The burglary of an Ulta store in far north Fort Worth led to a police chase all across the Metroplex. It happened just after 3:00 a.m. early Tuesday, starting near the intersection of Interstate-35W and Heritage Trace Parkway, where the store is located.

A tracking device attached to a piece of stolen merchandise helped authorities follow the suspects through the Mid-Cities area and into Dallas, eventually into east Oak Cliff. The suspect vehicle stopped near the intersection of Songwood Drive and Lazy River Drive.

Police from both Fort Worth and Dallas assisted in the chase, along with the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office. That included help from three different helicopters.

Officers found the stolen merchandise at a home where the suspect vehicle stopped. One person has been detained as part of a police investigation, but no official arrests have been made. Authorities from Fort Worth loaded the stolen goods into the back of a police squad car and carted it away.
