DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Police officers are on the scene of a deadly shooting in northeast Dallas.

The double shooting happened in the 1500 block of Centerville Road near Garland Road. The area mostly consists of commercial businesses, but witnesses at the scene say the gunfire was exchanged at an illegal game room.

The shooting happened just before 6 a.m. and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The Dallas County Medical Examiner arrived about an hour later.

The condition of the second person is unknown.

The Dallas Police Department launched Air One and as the sun rose. The helicopter could be seen flying around the area — possibly looking for suspects.

The name of the the person killed has not been released.
