ARLINGTON (CBSDFW) – A teenager accused of stealing a vehicle in Grand Prairie late Tuesday night is killed after abandoning the vehicle, running away on foot, and being hit by a driver along a busy highway in Arlington.READ MORE: Dallas Police Department Seeks Animal Cruelty Suspect After Dog Found With Gunshot Wound
Police say someone related to the owner of the stolen car confronted the teenager as he made his getaway. At some point, while trying to escape from the person pursuing him, the suspect jumped out of the car, climbed over a guardrail and jumped down an embankment along State Highway 360, near Avenue J.

The name of the teenager has not been released, but police say he was younger than 18-years-old.
