12-year NFL Veteran, Author and Dallas Native Wade Smith and the Wade Smith Foundation is teaming with numerous Dallas Public Library Branches and reading his first children’s book Smitty Hits the Playbooks to children in the DFW area. It is happening Thursday, Friday and Saturday (July 14-16). Wade Smith grew up in the Lake Highlands area and was inspired to write this book based on his real life events to show that education and having good role models in the community including family, teachers, officers, etc. around you is important. Wade and his foundation are dedicated to supporting education and the betterment of children in the Dallas and Houston areas.
