TARRANT COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) – Police in two Tarrant County cities are on the hunt for a trio of burglars who have hit area businesses almost a dozen times since June 1.

The latest burglaries happened Tuesday morning in Hurst and Bedford during the 3 o’clock hour.

The Grain & Dairy Gourmet Grilled Cheese and Honey Love Cakery in Hurst were broken into at about 3:16 am.

Surveillance video from Honey Love Cakery shows three burglars wearing hooded sweatshirts break in using a sledge hammer.

Minutes later they did the same thing at neighboring business, Grain & Dairy Gourmet Grilled Cheese.

“It’s pretty frustrating,” said Grain & Dairy owner Josh Rogers.

Rogers says the thieves stole from his safe.

In Bedford, Rosako Bailey showed CBS11 surveillance video of his restaurant, Rosako’s Soul Food and BBQ being broken into about 20 minutes after the Hurst cases. His video shows a similar looking trio that also used a sledge hammer to break in.

Bailey says in his case the robbers managed to take his entire safe.

“When I saw the surveillance it made my stomach crawl, because they were in my personal space and they took some things from me,” said Bailey.

Bedford Police spokesman Lt. David Smith says investigators believe the most recent cases in Hurst and Bedford are related to the string of robberies they’ve been investigating since June 1st.

He says the common link in all the cases is that the bandits specifically target the businesses safes.

No arrests have been made and Bedford Police say they do believe the suspects will hit again.

They’re hoping next time they’ll make a mistake and give authorities the clues they need to catch them.
