The woman was afraid to go back outside and asked the professor for help. The two walked to the professors office. Police say Hammad followed and knocked on the professors door for several minutes. After calls to the athletic department were not answered, the professor called 911.
Hammad went to Irving High School where he was a highly touted offensive lineman. He originally signed with the University of Texas in 2013 before transferring to Baylor. He played in 13 games for the Bears last season.
Hammad remained in jail Tuesday afternoon in lieu of a $5,000 surety bond.MORE NEWS: Very Cold, Wintry Weather Could Be On The Way Next Week
