2nd Lt. Andrew J. Hunt was found unresponsive in his home at 7:30 p.m. on September 13. He was later pronounced dead at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center three days later.
Hunt, who was from Bexar County entered active-duty military service in May 2015. He was assigned to 6th Battalion, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, since September 2016.READ MORE: Musician Corey Dill Seriously Injured During Deep Ellum Robbery
Hunt’s awards and decorations include Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Army Service Ribbon.
