Someone told Irving Police school resource officers about a suspicious item found in an unused school locker around 11:00 a.m.
Officers checked it out and “out of an abundance of caution,” notified the police department’s Bomb Squad.READ MORE: 1 Killed, 3 Injured In Arlington Car Accident
Bomb squad technicians removed the item and took it to a secure location for further examination where it was determined to be harmless.
Police continue to investigate.
