It usually costs around $250 to adopt a pet, but Zeke’s event is part of the SPCA of Texas’ ‘Dogtober,’ in which  all dog-adoption fees are cut in half, from $250 to $125, for the month.

The organization’s goal is to facilitate 500 dog adoptions in October, according to its website.
