DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -A medical helicopter made an emergency landing at West Mockingbird Lane and Irving Boulevard Wednesday afternoon.

No one was hurt, according to Dallas Police.

The FAA said the pilot of the PHI Air Medical helicopter reported a possible fuel leak.

The chopper was on the way to pick up a patient.  The company dispatched a different one to the call.

PHI Air Medical released the following statement Wednesday evening.

This afternoon, out of an abundance of caution, our crew made a safe, precautionary landing after noticing an unusual smell, possibly of fuel. The pilot safely landed the aircraft and is now being carefully inspected by our maintenance team. The crew was in route to pick up a patient.  We dispatched a different aircraft to pick up the specialized maternal team and complete the transport. We are grateful that the appropriate protocols were followed and all are safe.
