McKINNEY (CBSDFW.COM) – The Collin County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a cache of drugs discovered during a traffic stop.

It happened outside the Collin County Service Center at 700 Wilmeth Avenue.

Chopper11 was over the scene as authorities unloaded items from the back of the 18-wheeler.

A spokesperson for the sheriff’s department said due to an active investigation, they’re not releasing any more details at this time. 

“Today Collin County Deputies are looking into what appears to be a drug stash discovered,” said Jim Moody of the Collin County Sheriff’s Department. “Due to an active investigation, our agency is not releasing any information. I can say, to protect the integrity of the investigation no additional details are being disclosed at this time.”
