DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM/AP) – Dallas County elections officials are reporting instances of voting irregularities Tuesday, including one voter who filed a complaint contending someone mailed in a ballot in the voter’s name.
Dallas County Elections Administrator Toni Pippins-Poole says that she knew only of the one formal complaint. But she says 27 other voters at a west Dallas voting precinct were given provisional ballots after saying they had misplaced or didn’t have mail-in ballots previously given to them.
Meanwhile, Celina Barajas, an election clerk at the west Dallas polling site, told The Dallas Morning News that at least 15 elderly voters arrived to vote Tuesday but were told that records showed they had already submitted mail-in ballots. Barajas says her grandfather had the same issue when he went to early vote last week.
