MESQUITE (CBSDFW.COM) – A man driving a vehicle stolen from a Southlake hotel parking lot is now in custody.

Mesquite Police said an officer found the truck on Rolling Wood and tried to stop it but the driver took off around 1:25 p.m. Wednesday.

A 15-minute chase ensued.  It ended on Fitzhugh near Fair Park.

The suspect got out and ran but police caught him.

Police said a Highland Landscaping crew left the keys to the truck on the dash and parked it in the north parking lot of the Hilton Hotel and then started working.

One of the crew members saw the truck driving away and called police.

On Thursday, Mesquite Police released dash cam and body cam footage of the chase.
