CROWLEY (CBSDFW.COM) – An investigation is currently underway at a house in Crowley after two people were found dead inside late Tuesday.

Someone called and requested that police check on the welfare of individuals at the home in the 800 block of Buffalo Court.

Responding officers found the two people dead at the house and called in a SWAT team to further access the situation. Several houses in the area were also evacuated as a precaution.

There was an individual inside the home and the encounter resulted in a standoff that lasted for several hours. Eventually someone who police call a “person of interest” was taken into custody and residents were allowed back in their homes..

Police haven’t identified the two victims or said how they died.

Members of the Crowley Police Department and the Texas Rangers are investigating and have said that the incident is isolated and that the public is in no danger.
